It is on! The new competition pistol of choice is KMR L-02 Spectra

I have purchased KMR L-02 Spectra for IPSC shooting. As this is relatively new pistol to the market there will be some details shared to help others looking for a proper IPSC pistol.

So far I have been shooting CZ Shadow 2 OR for past 4 years in Production Optics. The KMR Spectra will be also used in Production Optics division.

Why KMR Spectra? For sure not for the name as the full name KMR L-02 Spectra is annoying. KMR sounds nice, Spectra ok, even though Spectre would be much more nice and add some Bond vibes. L-02 come on, you could have done better. As name as such is not significant for the performance then the reasons for why are different:

1. I always have fancied the Tanfoglio Stock II. Absolutely majestic design and heavy barrel, amazing job there.
2. The CZ Shadow 2 comes wiht awesome ergonomics, reliability and design simplicity (yeah, Glock is simpler, but lets not go there).
3. The combination having the best from Tanfo and Shadow 2 seems even more perfect + having lighter slide + better trigger out of factory make the decision even simpler.
4. Specs and quality are impressive.

At the moment the gun is just purchased and paperwork is to be arranged so it could be brought home.

KMR was well recieved in 2023 IWA in Germany and the pistols will probably make to a lot of shops and new oweners this and following years.

Unfortunately their e-shop is going through the update (being at same time offline) as the dealers have not managed yet to get in the parts. This means negotiations and waiting for parts that You for sure like to be individualised: grips (S2 grips won't fit!), controls (slide stop, safeties) AND optics plates that are needed to fit your optic (S2 ones will not fit).
